Most of our trains board from the restored platforms of the North Creek Depot, headed south to the Riverside Station at Riparius  The original North Creek ticket office has been restored to house the North Creek Depot Museum, displaying artifacts and memorabilia from the region’s history of logging, mining, ski and railroad industries, plus and an intricate working scale model train inside. The old Freight House now houses the Upper Hudson River Railroad ticket office and the Freight House Gift Shop, replete with items for train buffs and Adirondack enthusiasts of all ages.  History buffs will enjoy the North Creek location, complete with our engine house, refurbished section shed and a 90’ operating turntable.

• Departure at 11:30 am for lunch and shop in North Creek; return on 2 o’clock train 
• Historic displays in the Riverside Station
• Scenic Overlook gallery (open daily 10am-5pm) and Clen’s Collectibles antique shop just a short walk away

The Upper Hudson River Railroad is just a short drive from Lake George, halfway between Saratoga Springs and Lake Placid.

I-87 to Exit 25. Route 8 West approximately 10 miles to Wevertown traffic light. Right onto 28 West, and approximately 5 miles to North Creek. Right onto Rte 28N, (follow signs to Historic Depot), second left at four-way stop, onto Main St., one block to the North Creek station and parking on the right.

From Syracuse / Rochester:
NY State Thruway, I-90 East to Exit 31, Utica. Route 12 to Route 8, East to Wevertown traffic light , left onto Route 28 West and approximately 5 miles to North Creek. Right onto Rte 28N, (follow signs to Historic Depot)  second left at four-way stop, onto Main St., one block to the North Creek station and parking on the right. 

From Syracuse / Rochester:
NY State Thruway, I-90 East to Exit 31, Utica. Route 12 to Route 8 East, past Wevertown traffic light, and approximately 5 miles more, right turn into Riverside Station parking.
